Kanthal® offers a wide range of products for industrial heating technology and resistance materials, with solutions covering temperatures up to 1,850 °C (3,360 °F).
1. Electric Heating Elements
Kanthal manufactures elements in three main material families according to temperature range:
• Kanthal® Super (MoSi₂): Molybdenum disilicate elements for ultra-high temperatures up to 1,850 °C. Available in grades such as Super 1700, 1800, 1900, ER (reducing atmospheres), and RA.
• Globar® (SiC): Silicon carbide elements for high power and temperatures up to 1,625 °C. Includes Globar AS, SD, HD Max, and SG/SR types.
• Metallic Elements: Manufactured with FeCrAl and NiCr alloys for general applications up to 1,425 °C. •
• Tubothal®: High-power heating elements for use in radiant tubes.
2. Resistance Materials (Wire and Strip)

• Fibrothal®: Ceramic fiber insulated heating modules for ovens up to 1,350 °C.
• Superthal®: Modules combining fiber insulation with Kanthal® Super elements for temperatures up to 1,750 °C.
• Diffusion Cassettes: Specialized systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Air Heaters: Electric systems for heating large volumes of air or gases at high pressure.
